Beijing: China announced on Monday that it will extend its visa-free policy by one year, incorporating Sweden into its visa-exemption program.

According to Anadolu Agency, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning revealed that China's visa-exemption arrangements will now include France and other countries under the policy through December 31, 2026.

Beijing further stated that it will grant visa-free entry to Swedish citizens from November 10, 2025, to December 31, 2026. This development was shared during a news conference in Beijing. Additionally, China's Consular Affairs made a separate announcement on the US social media platform X, confirming that the unilateral visa-free policy for citizens of 45 countries will be extended until December 31, 2026.
