Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened the week on Monday at 10,974.29 points, marking an increase of 0.46% or 49.76 points.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had previously ended the week on Friday with a decline of 1.34%, closing at 10,924.53 points. The transaction volume for that day amounted to 144.7 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $3.42 billion.

As of 10.20 am local time (0720GMT), the exchange rates were recorded as 42.2290 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.7950 to the euro, and 55.5260 to the British pound. Additionally, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $4,073.40, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.95 per barrel.
