Ankara: US Ambassador to Trkiye and US Special Envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, expressed his enthusiasm on Wednesday to work closely with Nuh Yilmaz, who has been appointed as Trkiye's new ambassador to Syria after a 13-year gap in diplomatic representation.

According to Anadolu Agency, Barrack conveyed his congratulations to Ambassador Nuh Yilmaz on his historic appointment, marking Trkiye's renewed diplomatic presence in Syria. Barrack shared his message on the US social media platform, X, emphasizing his eagerness to collaborate with Yilmaz as he embarks on this significant mission.

Barrack highlighted Yilmaz's deep experience and strategic vision, stating that these qualities make him exceptionally well-suited to guide the new era of Turkish partnership with an emerging Syria. This partnership, Barrack noted, would be rooted in dialogue, stability, and shared regional interests.
