Gaza city: One Palestinian was killed by Israeli army fire in the southern Gaza Strip, marking a violation of the ceasefire agreement established last month, medics reported. The incident occurred in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Younis, within a zone controlled by Israel.

According to Anadolu Agency, medical sources from Al-Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the fatality. Witnesses also reported Israeli gunboats shelling the shores of Rafah and artillery fire targeting eastern Khan Younis. Earlier in the day, the Israeli army demolished several residential buildings in the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, further breaching the ceasefire. Witnesses noted additional artillery strikes in eastern Khan Younis.

On Monday, an explosion in the Al-Nasr neighborhood of Gaza City, caused by Israeli ordnance, resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians and injuries to several others. Riyad Mansour, Palestine's UN envoy, addressed the Security Council, highlighting that two children have been killed daily by Israeli forces in Gaza since the ceasefire on October 10.

Gaza's Health Ministry reported that at least 342 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 900 injured by Israeli army fire since the ceasefire began. The ongoing conflict, which has persisted since October 2023, has resulted in the deaths of nearly 70,000 people in Gaza, predominantly women and children, and left over 170,900 injured, devastating much of the region.
