Jenin: The Israeli army intensified its ongoing offensive in the northern West Bank on Thursday, deploying helicopters in attacks on the cities of Tubas and Jenin. The operation saw Israeli forces surrounding a house in Jenin's Abu Dhahir neighborhood, where they arrested at least one individual after storming the building. According to Anadolu Agency, large numbers of infantry units and special forces were stationed around the area, with military helicopters providing aerial support. Witnesses reported that these helicopters fired shots while flying over Jenin, aiming at various locations. In Tubas, helicopters flew at low altitudes over the town of Tammoun, opening fire toward open areas and conducting extensive home raids and field searches. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its medics treated two children who were shot by Israeli forces in the thigh within the Jenin camp. Another Palestinian sustained injuries from Israeli fire in Idhna, near Hebron. Since the start of the offensive in Tubas on Wednesday, Israeli forces have arrested 119 Palestinians, with over 50 later released, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Society and the Red Cross. The assault has resulted in at least 25 injuries. The ongoing conflict has claimed numerous lives and caused significant injuries. Alongside the two-year war in Gaza, which has resulted in nearly 70,000 fatalities, army and settler assaults in the West Bank have led to at least 1,083 Palestinian deaths and approximately 11,000 injuries, with more than 20,500 detained, based on official Palestinian figures. In a significant ruling last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory illegal, calling for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
