Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened the week on a flat note, registering a minor drop of 0.01% or 0.59 points, settling at 10,898.10 points on Monday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index had previously experienced a 0.43% decline on Friday, closing at 10,898.70 points, with a significant daily transaction volume of 108 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $2.55 billion.

As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the Turkish lira's exchange rates against major currencies were recorded at 42.5230 per US dollar, 49.3330 per euro, and 56.2255 per British pound. Meanwhile, the commodities market saw the price of an ounce of gold at $4,239.60, and Brent crude oil trading at $63.40 per barrel.
