Quneitra: The Israeli army on Monday renewed its violation of Syria's sovereignty with two incursions into the Quneitra countryside in the country's southwest. Israeli forces advanced toward the western side of Saida al-Hanout village, as reported by the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

According to Anadolu Agency, a military force consisting of three vehicles took position in the village while a drone flew overhead to monitor the area. In a separate maneuver, an Israeli force accompanied by two Humvees and two personnel carriers moved to the top of Tel Abu Qubays hill on the outskirts of Ein Zivan village, also in the southern Quneitra countryside.

There has been no immediate comment from either the Israeli army or Syrian authorities regarding these latest actions. Syrian government data reveals that since December 2024, Israel has conducted over 1,000 airstrikes on Syria and more than 400 cross-border raids into its southern provinces.

Following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, Israel expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the demilitarized buffer zone. This move constitutes a violation of a 1974 agreement with Syria.
