Ankara: Trkiye's defense and aviation exports have experienced a significant surge, climbing 30% year-on-year in the January-November period to reach a record $7.4 billion, as announced by the secretary of Trkiye's Defense Industries (SSB) on Thursday.
According to Anadolu Agency, the defense and aviation exports witnessed a 22% increase in November 2025 compared to the same month in the previous year, amounting to $747 million, as stated by Haluk Gorgun on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal. Gorgun highlighted that the sector not only marked a new record with the November increase but also showcased exceptional performance throughout the year, surpassing all-time annual figures in just 11 months.
Gorgun emphasized the sector's steady growth in high-value-added products, the expansion of export volumes, and the enhancement of competitiveness in global markets. He outlined the SSB's objectives to boost the number of exporting companies, integrate small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into global supply chains, and develop a sustainable and high-value-added export model.
He remarked on Trkiye's continued determination, driven by a robust ecosystem that produces, develops, and exports within the defense industry. Additionally, the country revealed its overall export figures, indicating a 2.2% year-on-year increase to $22.7 billion in November.
