Ankara: Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed in two Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, marking the latest violation of a ceasefire agreement, medics reported.

According to Anadolu Agency, medical sources confirmed that a 16-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries after being shot by Israeli forces in the vicinity of the al-Ternes area in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The sources highlighted that ambulance crews faced difficulties reaching the site due to intense Israeli gunfire.

Witnesses reported that an Israeli force, comprising several military vehicles and bulldozers supported by infantry units, advanced several hundred meters beyond the 'yellow line' into the al-Ternes area and its surroundings in the camp. Additionally, a man and woman were killed by gunfire from military cranes near the Halawa displacement camp area in Jabalia, as per the sources.

A ceasefire agreement had been in effect in Gaza since October 10, under US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan. The agreement aimed to halt two years of Israeli attacks, which resulted in the deaths of more than 70,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured nearly 171,000 others since October 2023. The first phase of the deal includes the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and also envisions the rebuilding of Gaza and the establishment of a new governing mechanism without Hamas.

According to Gaza's Government Media Office, at least 386 people have been killed and 980 others injured by Israeli army fire since the ceasefire came into effect.
