This statement was made by Hakan Fidan during his address at the Al Sharq Youth Conference held in Istanbul, where he highlighted the need to address Israeli aggression and expansionism.

According to Anadolu Agency, Fidan pointed out that a subtle transformation is taking place within the Islamic world, emphasizing the necessity for unity. Trkiye is actively working to promote continued cooperation, stressing the importance of moral courage and local ownership. Fidan remarked on the shifting balance of power in a world marked by conflicts and global strategic competition, advocating for a future characterized by cooperation and partnership rather than competition and division.

The Turkish foreign minister underscored the importance of regional and economic cooperation within the Islamic world, particularly in the realms of security, defense, and shared visions. He asserted that only regional actors can effectively address regional issues, as they have a deep understanding of the conflicts shaped by history and experience.

Fidan also addressed the situation in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a new role after the ceasefire. He stated that peace requires justice, which in turn requires a sovereign, free, and viable Palestinian state. Drawing parallels with Syria, he highlighted Trkiye's support for the Syrian people's aspirations for freedom and the constructive engagement facilitated by regional countries.

In his address to the youth, Fidan stressed the importance of perseverance in diplomacy, advocating for principled resistance to overcome obstacles.
