Lebanon: Three people were killed when Israeli airstrikes hit a motorcycle and two vehicles in southern Lebanon on Sunday, in the latest violation of last year's ceasefire agreement, authorities and local media said.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Health Ministry stated that an Israeli strike targeted a motorcycle in the town of Yater in the Bint Jbeil district, resulting in one death and another injury. In a separate incident, an Israeli drone targeted a car in the town of Jouaiya in Tyre, taking another life.

Furthermore, the state news agency NNA reported that an Israeli drone struck a vehicle between the towns of Safad El-Battikh and Baraachit in the Nabatieh governorate, causing one fatality. The Israeli army claimed responsibility for killing two Hezbollah members in the attacks in Yater and Bint Jbeil. Additionally, the army confirmed a third strike around midday aimed at another Hezbollah member, though the outcomes of that strike are still under assessment.

There has been no immediate response from Hezbollah regarding the Israeli statement. Meanwhile, Lebanon has reportedly received warnings from Arab and international entities about potential large-scale Israeli military operations in Lebanon.

Last year, a ceasefire agreement was reached between Tel Aviv and Beirut after more than a year of hostilities linked to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in over 4,000 deaths and 17,000 injuries. Under the ceasefire terms, the Israeli army was to withdraw from southern Lebanon this January, yet it continues to occupy five border outposts.
