Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index wrapped up Tuesday's trading session at 11,290.36 points, marking a decrease of 0.18% from the previous day's close. The BIST 100 index, which began the day at 11,307.24, saw a drop of 20.7 points compared to Monday's closing figures.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index touched a low of 11,276.20 during the day and reached a high of 11,367.30. Out of the total indexes, 64 experienced a decline in value, while 34 ended the day with gains.

The transaction volume for the day totaled 120.9 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.82 billion, with the overall value of the index standing at 10.64 trillion liras, or $249 billion. Exchange rates showed the USD/TRY at 42.8295, EUR/TRY at 50.6390, and GBP/TRY trading at 58.0205 by 6.25 pm local time (1525GMT).
