Quneitra: Israeli army forces arrested six Syrian youths on Sunday in the southern countryside of Quneitra, marking a new violation of Syria's sovereignty, according to official media reports. The state-run Alikhbariyah TV reported that five individuals from Daraa were detained by Israeli forces while searching for wild mushrooms on agricultural land in the village of Kudna, located in southern Quneitra.

According to Anadolu Agency, in a separate incident, an Israeli force composed of four military vehicles advanced from Abu Ghitar hill toward the village of Sayda al-Hanout, also in the southern Quneitra countryside. There, they arrested a young man who was herding sheep in the area. These events are part of near-daily incursions carried out by Israeli forces in southern Syria, particularly in Quneitra province. These incursions involve conducting arrests, setting up checkpoints, and destroying forested areas, actions that have sparked growing local anger toward Israel.

In recent years, Israeli forces have repeatedly entered Syrian territory and launched airstrikes, resulting in civilian casualties and the destruction of Syrian military sites, vehicles, weapons, and ammunition. Following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, Israel expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the demilitarized buffer zone, a move that violated a 1974 agreement with Syria.
