Ankara: Trkiye's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) on Thursday organized a promotion and orientation meeting for Trkiye Scholarships, which is described as the country's 'global education vision.' The event saw participation from YTB Acting President Abdulhadi Turus and international students who are part of the program.

According to Anadolu Agency, Turus addressed the gathering, noting that the presence of students from various countries studying together in Trkiye highlights the global richness of diversity. He underscored the vital role international students play in promoting the Trkiye Scholarships and stated that the country has made significant strides in the realm of international education.

Turus elaborated that international students in Trkiye are seen as symbols of a moral commitment, with scholarship recipients regarded as future contributors to their home countries rather than temporary visitors. He conveyed the message that upon returning to their countries, these students would become the hope of their societies.

Further, Turus pointed out that Trkiye's global education policy aims to nurture a more conscientious world. The scholarship program not only focuses on academic training but also aims to strengthen shared humanitarian values.

The Trkiye Scholarships program has become a key element of international student mobility, having received 125,668 applications in 2025, as stated by YTB. It offers fully funded education opportunities at Trkiye's universities to students from around the globe, covering university placement, monthly stipends, tuition fees, health insurance, dormitory accommodation, housing support, free academic and professional programs, and round-trip airfare.

Applications for the 2026 Trkiye Scholarships program are currently open and will continue until February 20. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website, turkiyeburslari.gov.tr.
