Turkish Defense Giant Aselsan Inks $171M International Sales Deal

Ankara: Turkish defense giant Aselsan on Monday announced that it has secured an international sales deal valued at $171 million with a client based in the Asia-Pacific region. The agreement involves the export of communication systems and payloads specifically designed for unmanned surface vehicles.

According to Anadolu Agency, the contract details were disclosed in a statement posted on Trkiye's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), though the identity of the client remains undisclosed. Aselsan, headquartered in Ankara, was established in 1975 and has since evolved into one of Turkey's leading defense companies, consistently ranking among the top 50 defense firms worldwide.

The deal underscores Aselsan's ongoing expansion into international markets and its commitment to providing advanced defense technology solutions globally. The firm's strategic focus on developing cutting-edge communication systems for unmanned vehicles is indicative of its adaptability in the ever-evolving defense sector.
