Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Ukrainian delegation returning from Abu Dhabi is set to report on the most sensitive aspects of their recent negotiations. He emphasized that these discussions' details are not suitable for remote communication.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy conveyed in a video address that he has scheduled a meeting with the delegation for the following day. The delegation is expected to arrive in Ukraine late in the evening and will provide a comprehensive briefing on the issues discussed during the talks in the United Arab Emirates' capital.

Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukraine is gearing up for the next phase of negotiations, which will include trilateral meetings. He also highlighted the importance of upcoming discussions with European partners. The president reiterated that diplomatic efforts are paramount alongside addressing military and energy challenges, urging state institutions to concentrate on maintaining Ukraine's stability, defense, and independence.

Additionally, Zelenskyy acknowledged the role of Ukraine's parliamentary diplomacy in the United States. He commended Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk for his recent meetings with US lawmakers, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, and other Ukraine supporters. Zelenskyy stated that gaining support for Ukraine is crucial to creating conditions that render the war meaningless for Russia.

The talks in Abu Dhabi, involving Russia, Ukraine, and the US, culminated in a two-day meeting focused on the Ukrainian settlement. The discussions resulted in an agreement to conduct the first prisoner exchange in five months, which was executed immediately. A joint communique issued at the meeting's conclusion described the discussions as "constructive" and centered on establishing conditions for lasting peace.
