Ankara: Trkiye's Communications Director Burhanettin Duran met with Syrian Information Minister Hamza al-Mustafa in the Turkish capital Ankara, discussing bilateral ties and cooperation in strategic communication.
According to Anadolu Agency, the meeting took place following a panel titled 'Trkiye's Role as a Peacekeeper in Conflict Zones from a Media Perspective,' hosted by the Turkish Communications Directorate. In a statement shared on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Duran expressed his pleasure in hosting Mustafa at the event and highlighted that the discussions centered on the current state and future of relations between Trkiye and Syria.
The dialogue between the two officials emphasized the significance of maintaining communication and diplomatic channels to support regional peace, stability, and security. They highlighted the media's role during conflict situations and the necessity of a shared understanding to protect the truth, according to the statement.
