Geneva: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi has affirmed Oman's dedication to facilitating the ongoing dialogue between the United States and Iran, aiming for a resolution concerning Tehran's nuclear program. Albusaidi expressed this commitment during a meeting with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi in Geneva on Wednesday, preceding a new round of indirect nuclear negotiations between the two nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Omani Foreign Ministry shared on US social media platform X that discussions focused on the viewpoints and proposals Iran intends to present in efforts to secure an agreement on the nuclear issue. These efforts are based on the "guiding principles" established during the previous negotiations in Geneva.

Albusaidi is scheduled to meet with the US negotiating team to convey Iran's perspectives and to learn about Washington's ideas and proposals, as stated by the ministry. The previous round of talks on February 17 concluded positively, with both parties agreeing on "guiding principles" to potentially reach a deal.

These indirect discussions occur amidst significant US military presence in the Persian Gulf, alongside military drills conducted by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in preparation for a potential conflict.
