Beirut: The Israeli army on Monday claimed to have killed the head of Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters in an attack on Lebanon. Israeli forces reportedly killed Hussein Makled during overnight attacks, as stated in a military announcement.

According to Anadolu Agency, the army issued a warning to Hezbollah about the "consequences" of their actions, which include attacking and aligning with Iran. Early Monday, Israel initiated airstrikes targeting both Beirut's southern suburbs and southern Lebanon, resulting in 31 fatalities and 149 injuries, as reported by Lebanon's Health Ministry.

Israeli strikes persisted throughout the day, focusing on villages and towns in southern Lebanon and parts of Beirut. In retaliation, Hezbollah declared early Monday that it had launched a barrage of rockets and drones targeting a military site in northern Israel. This was in response to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon and a joint US-Israeli military campaign on Iran.
