Manama: An Iranian attack targeted a maritime facility near Mina Salman Port on Sunday evening, Bahrain's Interior Ministry said. In a statement posted on the US social media company X's platform, the ministry described the incident as 'Iranian aggression', noting that civil defense teams were actively working to control a fire resulting from the attack. According to Anadolu Agency, the attack on the Bahraini facility comes amid heightened regional tensions. The escalation began on Saturday when the US and Israel launched an assault on Iran, resulting in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran conducted a series of drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, US assets, and several Gulf countries.
