Doha: QatarEnergy has announced a halt in the production of various chemical products following a recent cessation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production. This decision affects key downstream products such as urea, polymers, methanol, and aluminum.
According to Anadolu Agency, the suspension comes in the wake of military attacks that have impacted production facilities located in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City. The firm has faced operational challenges following these disruptions.
The recent military activities have led to significant unrest in the region. Qatar's Defense Ministry reported the detection of multiple missile launches, including three cruise missiles, 101 ballistic missiles, and 39 suicide drones targeting its airspace. These developments are linked to the ongoing conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran, which has intensified in recent days.
