X to Halt Revenue Sharing for Undisclosed AI-Generated Conflict Videos

Baghdad: The US social media company X: announced Tuesday that it will suspend users who post undisclosed conflict videos generated by artificial intelligence (AI) from its revenue-sharing program.

According to Anadolu Agency, X's head of product Nikita Bier stated on the platform that users posting AI-generated videos of armed conflict without disclosing their AI origins will face suspension from Creator Revenue Sharing for 90 days. This marks a significant revision in the company's creator revenue sharing policies.

Bier further explained that repeated violations of these policies, which aim to uphold the authenticity of content on the Timeline, would lead to permanent suspension from the program. He emphasized the importance of authentic information during times of war, pointing out the ease with which current AI technologies can create misleading content.

He concluded by stating that the company will continue refining its policies and products to ensure X remains a trustworthy platform during critical moments.
