Tel aviv: Air raid sirens sounded across central Israel on Thursday following a new barrage of missiles launched from Iran, local media reported. The sirens were activated in several areas, including the city of Tel Aviv, as tensions in the region escalated.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israel's public broadcaster KAN reported that the Israeli army detected missile launches originating from Iran. Channel 12 further confirmed the activation of sirens across central Israel, highlighting the widespread alert that included urban centers.

The daily Yedioth Ahronoth provided additional details, noting that one missile exploded in an open area, while another detonated near residential homes in central Israel. The aftermath of interception operations saw debris landing in a residential yard in Moshav Barakat.

Despite the intensity of the missile barrage, there were no immediate reports of casualties, offering some relief amid the heightened tensions. The attacks are part of a continuing cycle of hostilities, as Israel and the US have been engaging in a large-scale offensive against Iran since Saturday. This offensive has resulted in the deaths of at least 926 individuals, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and key military officials.

Iran has responded to these actions with drone and missile strikes, not only targeting Israel but also extending to Gulf countries that host US military assets. The situation remains volatile, with both sides continuing to engage in retaliatory measures.
