Washington: Former US President Joe Biden expressed concern that the United States is facing difficulties because the Trump administration does not uphold American values. Speaking at the funeral of civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson, Biden emphasized, "We are in a tough spot, folks-we've got an administration that doesn't share any of the values that we have and I don't think I'm exaggerating a little bit."

According to Anadolu Agency, Biden's comments come amidst ongoing criticisms from US President Donald Trump, who has targeted Biden on various issues such as the economy, immigration, and foreign policy. Trump has also raised questions regarding Biden's health.

The backdrop of Biden's remarks includes heightened tensions in the Middle East, following US and Israeli military actions against Iran on February 28 and Iran's subsequent retaliatory measures across the region.
