Saudi Arabia Intercepts Ballistic Missile Targeting Prince Sultan Air Base

Riyadh: The Saudi Defense Ministry announced that a ballistic missile was detected and destroyed before it could reach its intended target, Prince Sultan Air Base. This development occurs amid ongoing tensions and attacks on Gulf countries, which are exacerbated by the ongoing conflict involving Israel, the US, and Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Saudi authorities had earlier reported the interception of several drones in the Empty Quarter. These drones were reportedly heading toward the Shaybah Oil Field, one of Saudi Arabia's largest oil fields. The successful interception of both the missile and the drones underscores the heightened state of alert in the region as tensions continue to rise.
