Ankara: Israel is allegedly sabotaging the path to a two-state solution by capitalizing on the global community's distraction from Gaza, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan accused the Netanyahu administration of not pursuing peace and highlighted its unlawful and expansionist policies since a declaration on October 10. He criticized Israel for making humanitarian aid deliveries challenging while continuing systematic attacks on Gaza.

Erdogan shared grave concerns about the ongoing regional events, stating that despite an agreement signed in Gaza, the humanitarian crisis persists. He reported over 640 Gazans killed and nearly 2,000 injured in Israeli attacks over the past five months.

Erdogan also highlighted the adverse impact of Israel's occupation and expansion policies in the West Bank, citing more than 1,120 Palestinians killed and nearly 12,000 injured since October 7, 2023. He condemned extrajudicial killings, demolitions, and forced displacements.

Emphasizing Trkiye's unwavering support for the Palestinian people, Erdogan pledged continued material and moral assistance to those in Gaza.

He criticized ongoing US-Israeli attacks on Iran, rejecting the notion of Middle East intervention similar to a century ago. Erdogan reported nearly 1,500 Iranian casualties, including over 300 children, due to these attacks.

Erdogan underscored the need for prompt conflict resolution to prevent regional destabilization. He called for an "honorable solution" and suggested a new negotiation process.

Touching on the prolonged Russia-Ukraine war, Erdogan advocated for a just and sustainable peace agreement. He also conveyed necessary warnings to Iran regarding airstrike violations and expressed regret over actions targeting Azerbaijan and Gulf states.

Erdogan reiterated Trkiye's commitment to diplomacy and the urgency of ending the war. He called for regional contributions to address ongoing issues, emphasizing regional ownership in problem-solving.
