Tehran: An 8-month-old girl represents the youngest victim among the 193 children killed in the ongoing US-Israeli attacks on Iran, a government spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday. Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that a total of 206 women and children have lost their lives since the assault began on February 28.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iranian authorities have reported over 1,200 fatalities, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and more than 10,000 individuals have been injured since the conflict was initiated by the US and Israel. In response to the demise of its leader, Iran appointed Mojtaba Khamenei, a son of the late Ali Khamenei, as the new supreme leader. Mohajerani emphasized that this appointment has unified the nation and disrupted the plans of their adversaries.

Mohajerani reiterated that Iran did not instigate the conflict, accusing the US and Israel of launching attacks during ongoing negotiations. She asserted that Iran is committed to ending the war that it did not start. The Iranian government is currently preparing for various scenarios in the conflict, with a firm resolve to defend the nation.

In retaliation against the US-Israeli aggression, Iran has launched missile and rocket attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and other Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
