Iran Reports Fatalities Among Students and Teachers in US-Israeli Attacks

Tehran: Iran’s education minister announced that 206 students and teachers have lost their lives, and 161 others have sustained injuries due to attacks by the US and Israel since the end of last month, as reported by Iranian media on Wednesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Alireza Kazemi shared these details while addressing the state news agency IRNA during a funeral ceremony for military commanders who were killed in the attacks. The regional tension has intensified since February 28, when a joint assault by Israel and the US on Iran resulted in over 1,200 fatalities and around 10,000 injuries, based on information from Iranian authorities.

In response to these attacks, Tehran has conducted drone and missile strikes aimed at Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf nations that host US military installations.
