Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates announced that its air defense systems are actively responding to a missile threat, advising residents to stay in secure locations amid ongoing Iranian retaliatory actions following a US-Israeli offensive on Iran. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) conveyed this message through the social media platform X, urging vigilance and adherence to official updates.

According to Anadolu Agency, tensions in the region have escalated since February 28, when a joint attack by Israel and the US against Iran resulted in over 1,200 fatalities and left more than 10,000 injured. In response, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations that host US military forces. The UAE remains on high alert as the situation continues to develop.
