Tel aviv: Air raid sirens echoed throughout central Israel on Friday as missile launches were detected coming from Iran, according to reports from Israeli media.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth detailed that the sirens were activated in central areas such as the Shfela, Lachish, and Samaria regions. This was in response to the detection of rockets and missiles launched from Iranian territory. A notable incident occurred in Holon, where a missile strike set vehicles ablaze. However, Israel's air defense systems successfully intercepted the limited barrage aimed at Israeli lands.

Further reports from Israel's Channel 12 highlighted that shrapnel fell in multiple locations across central Israel. An Anadolu correspondent also noted significant explosions in the skies over central and northern parts of the occupied West Bank, which coincided with these missile launches.

In parallel, Iranian media reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) initiated the 45th wave of 'Operation True Promise 4,' targeting Israeli and US sites with a series of missile launches. This offensive was executed in coordination with the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guards, drone units of the Iranian army, and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

These latest attacks have exacerbated tensions in the Middle East, which have been on the rise since a joint Israeli-US operation against Iran on February 28. This operation resulted in approximately 1,300 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and more than 10,000 injuries, as per Iranian officials. In retaliation, Tehran launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military assets, causing additional casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
