Tehran: Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Sunday that he had received information about an alleged plot to stage a 9/11-style attack and falsely blame it on Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Larijani made these claims on the US-based social media platform X, stating, "I've heard that the remaining members of Epstein's network have devised a conspiracy to create an incident similar to 9/11 and blame Iran for it." He emphasized that Iran fundamentally opposes such terrorist schemes and harbors no hostility towards the American people.

Larijani further remarked that Tehran is acting in self-defense against what he described as aggressive actions by the US and Israel. He asserted that Iran would respond "strongly and firmly" to punish those responsible for any conspiracies against the nation.
