Urmia: Authorities in Iran's West Azerbaijan province have announced the arrest of 20 individuals in the city of Urmia on suspicion of cooperating with Israel, as reported by the provincial prosecutor through the state-run news agency IRNA.

According to Anadolu Agency, Hossein Majidi, the provincial prosecutor, revealed that the arrests were the result of intelligence and cyber monitoring operations carried out by the intelligence branch of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and Basij networks. The suspects are alleged to have transmitted information regarding military, police, and security facilities to Israel.

The arrests highlight ongoing tensions and suspicions in the region, as Iranian authorities continue to monitor and counter perceived threats to national security. The IRGC and Basij networks reportedly played a crucial role in the intelligence operations leading to the apprehensions.
