Odesa: Ukraine announced on Tuesday that overnight Russian airstrikes have inflicted damage on the energy, industrial, and port infrastructure in the southern Odesa region, leading to power outages in certain areas.

According to Anadolu Agency, Odesa Governor Oleh Kiper stated on Telegram that the airstrikes resulted in damage to enterprise territories and some equipment, causing fires in unspecified locations. He noted that these fires were quickly extinguished. Kiper also mentioned that there were no casualties, although power outages are occurring in some settlements and essential services have switched to backup power.

The Development Ministry of Ukraine additionally reported that a barge used in production was struck in southern Ukraine, along with damage to the outbuildings of one of the ports. "All relevant services are working on the ground, and the consequences of the attacks are being eliminated," the ministry's statement added.

In a related development, Ukraine's Air Force claimed to have shot down 154 out of 178 drones launched by Russia overnight. While Moscow has not responded to Kyiv's claims, the Russian Defense Ministry stated it intercepted 206 Ukrainian drones during an overnight attack, including 40 aimed at the nation's capital.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed the interception of Ukrainian drones in multiple statements, adding that specialists are currently handling debris at the downed drones' sites. Furthermore, the Russian Defense Ministry later reported the downing of an additional 12 Ukrainian drones, with six shot down over the northwestern Leningrad region.
