Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles that targeted the Kingdom's Eastern Region.

According to Anadolu Agency, a spokesperson for the Defense Ministry stated in a brief announcement that the missiles were effectively neutralized, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

The Eastern Region has seen a surge in missile and drone attacks from Iran in recent days, amid escalating regional tensions. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had earlier issued a warning about impending strikes on key oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

This warning followed reports from Iranian media of a US-Israeli airstrike on gas storage tanks at Iran's South Pars field in Asaluyeh, which reportedly halted production at two refineries with a combined capacity of approximately 100 million cubic meters per day.

The ongoing conflict has seen the US and Israel maintain a joint offensive against Iran since February 28, resulting in the deaths of around 1,300 people, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries housing US military assets, causing casualties, damage to infrastructure, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
