Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded Wednesday's trading session at 13,115.13 points, marking a 0.78% decline from the previous day. After initially opening at 13,260.12 points, the index lost 102.47 points compared to Tuesday's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index experienced fluctuations throughout the day, with the lowest point recorded at 13,062.27 and the highest reaching 13,298.53. The stock exchange operated for a half-day on Thursday in observance of the eve of the Eid al-Fitr holiday and remained closed on Friday.

The market value of the BIST 100 index stood at approximately 12.8 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $290.5 billion. The trading volume was reported at 134 billion liras, or $3.03 billion. In the index, 26 stocks saw an increase, while 70 experienced a decline compared to the previous close.

In other market news, gold was priced at $4,865.20 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were trading at $104.1 per barrel as of 6.55 pm local time (1555GMT). The exchange rates showed the US dollar trading at 44.2180 Turkish liras, the euro at 51.1145 liras, and the British pound at 59.0820 liras.
