Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared on Friday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's actions, which he labeled as 'terrorism,' continue to endanger both regional and global peace.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan, during a speech, highlighted how Netanyahu's provocations have exacerbated instability, particularly pointing to the Iranian-centered attacks launched on February 28. The Turkish president criticized the ongoing clashes worldwide, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict north of Turkey, and condemned what he described as the "Zionist genocide network" for obstructing aid to Gaza, killing civilians, demolishing infrastructure, and engaging in acts of aggression in Palestine.

He further accused Israel of using the conflict with Iran as a pretext to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers and to accelerate illegal settlement activities and expansionist policies in the West Bank and other occupied Palestinian territories. Erdogan also reported that since March 2, Israeli actions have resulted in the deaths of 1,000 individuals in Lebanon, with over 1 million people forcibly displaced.

Erdogan emphasized Turkey's commitment to restoring peace and stability, pledging to employ all available resources to encourage dialogue and diplomacy. He expressed solidarity with those enduring the Eid holiday in sorrow, particularly in Gaza, and remained hopeful that regional challenges would be overcome through collective support, patience, and resilience.

Additionally, Erdogan noted Turkey's role in facilitating a temporary cessation of hostilities between Pakistan and Afghanistan during the Eid holiday. He expressed optimism that this truce would endure, allowing both nations to celebrate peacefully, free from violence.
