Tehran: Iran will have "zero restraint" if its infrastructure is attacked, the country's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared amid the ongoing escalation in the region. Araghchi made this statement on Friday, emphasizing the potential consequences of any aggressive actions against Iranian infrastructure.

According to Anadolu Agency, Araghchi posted his remarks on the US social media platform X, citing intelligence reports of Israeli plans to target Iranian infrastructure. He asserted that Iran would respond decisively if any such attacks were carried out. The foreign minister also highlighted the principled stance of the Iranian people, stating that they do not initiate attacks during dialogues but will respond forcefully if provoked.

The video accompanying Araghchi's post included comments from US President Donald Trump, who expressed his belief that Iran was planning to attack the US based on information from top US officials. Trump remarked that preemptive actions were necessary to thwart potential Iranian attacks.

Tensions have been mounting since Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran on February 28, resulting in the deaths of approximately 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has executed drone and missile strikes on Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military assets, causing casualties and significant infrastructure damage. These hostilities have further disrupted global markets and aviation sectors.
