Israel Launches New Series of Strikes on Tehran Amidst Ongoing Conflict

Ankara: Israel announced a fresh wave of strikes Sunday on Tehran as explosions were reported across the Iranian capital. An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that the army initiated a series of attacks targeting the infrastructure within Tehran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iranian news outlet Hamshahri reported four powerful blasts in the city's southern districts. The ongoing conflict has seen significant military engagements between the two nations.

The US-Israeli strikes against Iran began on February 28 and have reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 1,300 people, including the former Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes aimed at Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets, contributing to the escalating tensions in the region.
