Polish Prime Minister Highlights Global Impact of Ongoing Conflicts

Warsaw: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Saturday highlighted the significant global impact and “high price” the world is paying due to ongoing conflicts involving Iran and Ukraine. “We all pay a high price for Israel and the US’ war on Iran, as well as Russia’s on Ukraine. Not just at the gas station,” Tusk stated on the US social media platform X.

According to Anadolu Agency, Tusk emphasized the Polish government’s commitment to addressing the crisis through “tough but responsible decisions,” while underscoring the importance of national unity on security issues. The US and Israel initiated an air offensive on Iran on February 28, resulting in over 1,340 casualties, including the death of then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel and several countries in the region, including Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military assets. These retaliatory actions have led to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
