Ankara: Bahrain’s Interior Ministry announced on Saturday that civil defense teams successfully brought a fire under control at a facility allegedly targeted by Iran. Sirens were reportedly sounded across various parts of the country in response to the incident.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Interior Ministry communicated via the US social company X that emergency teams managed to control the fire at the facility, which was described as targeted. In a subsequent statement, the ministry urged citizens and residents to remain calm, seek safe locations, and stay informed through official news channels.

The ministry detailed that civil defense units promptly responded to the situation at the targeted facility and worked diligently to contain the blaze. However, no information was provided regarding potential casualties or the extent of the damage.

The incident comes amidst heightened tensions in the region, as the US and Israel have been conducting an air offensive on Iran for nearly a month. This offensive has resulted in the deaths of over 1,340 individuals, including the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile attacks targeting Israel and several Middle Eastern countries hosting US military assets, leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
