Iran and Hezbollah Launch Simultaneous Retaliation Attacks on Northern Israel

Ankara: Iran and Hezbollah carried out simultaneous retaliation attacks targeting northern Israel as Israeli attacks continued, Israeli sources said Saturday. The Israeli army said air defense systems were attempting to intercept missiles launched from Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, following the Iranian retaliation, sirens sounded in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, while rockets fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon triggered alerts in the Galilee region in northern Israel. The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that some Iranian missiles and Hezbollah rockets fell in open areas.

Israel’s emergency service, Magen David Adom, stated it has not received reports of direct hits or injuries, and that updates would be provided if necessary. For nearly a month, the US and Israel have carried out an air offensive against Iran, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damaging infrastructure, while disrupting global markets and aviation.
