Bahrain: Bahraini officials urged residents and Bahraini citizens to “head to the nearest safe place” after sirens sounded for the sixth time on Saturday amid an ongoing regional escalation.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Interior Ministry advised citizens and residents to remain calm and seek safety, using the US social media company X’s platform to communicate the alert. The warning comes against the backdrop of increasing regional tensions involving multiple countries.

The situation has escalated since the US and Israel began carrying out airstrikes on Iran on February 28, resulting in over 1,340 casualties. In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets. These retaliatory strikes have caused casualties and infrastructure damage, disrupting global markets and aviation.

The ongoing conflict has heightened regional instability, prompting countries like Bahrain, situated close to the areas of conflict, to remain vigilant and prepared for any potential threats.
