Tehran: Iran's parliament speaker has accused the United States of pursuing a covert 15-point plan to achieve its war objectives after failing to do so through military force. Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stated that while the US publicly calls for negotiations, it secretly plans a ground assault on Iran. He assured that Iran is prepared for such an operation and warned of a "decisive" response to any attacks.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iranian official Hossein Sadeghi reported that 281 students and teachers have been killed in US-Israeli attacks since last month. The fatalities include 222 students, four preschool children, 48 teachers, and seven retired education staff. Additionally, 185 students and educational personnel have sustained injuries due to the assaults.

In a separate development, US President Donald Trump expressed his preference to seize Iranian oil resources, specifically targeting Kharg Island, a crucial export hub. This comment follows the deployment of US troops to the Middle East. Trump compared the strategy to US actions in Venezuela, aiming for indefinite control over the oil sector, amid a 50% surge in oil prices with Brent crude surpassing $116 per barrel.
