Miami: Steve Bannon, a former adviser to US President Donald Trump, has made a controversial call for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's son, Yair Netanyahu, to be deported from the United States and sent to the battlefront as US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran continue.

According to Anadolu Agency, Bannon voiced his opinion on the right-wing streaming service "Real America's Voice," questioning why Yair Netanyahu was vacationing in Miami amid ongoing military actions. He urged the US Department of Homeland Security to take action, stating, "Netanyahu's kid down in Miami, turf him out tomorrow." Bannon further suggested that Yair should be put in a uniform and placed in the first wave of troops.

Bannon's remarks extended to Gulf Arab state princes allied with Washington, advocating for their expulsion from cities like London to join the fight in the Gulf as the United States considers launching ground operations. Neither Yair Netanyahu nor his brother Avner has completed Israel's mandatory military service, although both are of age.

Bannon, a senior adviser during Trump's first term, remains influential in the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement. The US and Israel have been conducting airstrikes on Iran since February 28, resulting in over 1,340 fatalities, including the death of then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes on Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These actions have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
