Washington: US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Tuesday that he made an unannounced visit to the Middle East over the weekend as joint US-Israeli military operations against Iran continue. Hegseth's visit was part of Operation Epic Fury, where he spent approximately half a day with troops in the Central Command (CENTCOM) area.

According to Anadolu Agency, Hegseth did not disclose specific locations visited to avoid making them potential targets. He emphasized the growing strength of American military capabilities compared to Iran's decreasing power. Hegseth highlighted that the US conducted 200 dynamic strikes on Monday night, including an attack on an ammunition depot in Isfahan, showcased by President Donald Trump in an uncensored video of the explosion.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) commander Adm. Brad Cooper provided an update on Operation Epic Fury, reporting significant progress in reducing Iran's power projection. In a video message on the social media platform X, Cooper acknowledged and awarded US troops for their efforts, noting their role in operating a sophisticated air defense system in the Middle East to counter Iran's missile and drone threats.
