Hebron: Arab interior ministers on Wednesday condemned Israel's new law imposing the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners, calling the move a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law. The condemnation came in a statement issued at the conclusion of the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, which was held by videoconference.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministers said the law reflects Israel's continued violations against Palestinians and warned that the measure would further inflame tensions in the region. They also condemned what they described as Iran's 'unjustified' attacks on Gulf states, saying the strikes constitute a grave violation of international law and a direct threat to regional and international peace.

The statement expressed full solidarity with the countries targeted by the attacks, backing the measures they take in self-defense. The statement further denounced Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian and Arab territories since 1967 and reaffirmed support for Lebanon's territorial unity and sovereignty, stressing that weapons must remain solely in the hands of state institutions.
