Beirut: The Israeli army announced early Saturday that it conducted airstrikes targeting Lebanon's capital, Beirut. The strikes were aimed at what the army described as 'Hezbollah infrastructure' within the city.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lebanese media reported that Israeli warplanes repeatedly targeted the Dahiyeh area in southern Beirut. The assaults resulted in loud explosions echoing across the city, with thick plumes of smoke visible from the impacted site in Dahiyeh. Additionally, reports indicated that Israel executed a drone strike on a port in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre, resulting in the death of one individual.

Israel has been conducting airstrikes and initiated a ground offensive in southern Lebanon following a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2. The ongoing conflict has had significant humanitarian impacts. Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has escalated to 1,368, with 4,138 people sustaining injuries.

The Lebanese government has also highlighted the severe displacement crisis caused by the conflict, with the number of displaced individuals in the country now exceeding 1.162 million.
