Sana'a: Yemen's Houthi group announced Saturday that it had targeted Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv and vital military targets in southern Israel with a fragmentation ballistic missile and drones.

According to Anadolu Agency, in a prerecorded statement, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced the group had 'successfully struck Lod Airport (Ben Gurion) in the occupied Jaffa area' and vital military targets in southern occupied Palestine. He described the operation as a joint effort with the Revolutionary Guard, the Iranian army, and Hezbollah in Lebanon, stating it had successfully achieved its objectives.

The latest attack follows a report by the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, which mentioned a "missile launched from Yemen on Saturday," claiming that it "landed in an open area." The incident occurs amid heightened regional tensions after a joint attack by Israel and the US on Iran on February 28, which, according to Iranian authorities, resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,300 people and injuries to over 10,000 others.

In response to the attack on Iran, Tehran launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets. The situation continues to escalate as involved parties engage in further military actions.
