Beirut: Hezbollah announced on Saturday that it carried out 32 attacks targeting Israeli settlements, troop positions, and military sites, as air raid sirens echoed 19 times throughout northern Israel.

According to Anadolu Agency, the assaults were claimed by Hezbollah in a series of statements, asserting that the actions were in defense of Lebanon and its people. This comes as a response to ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which have persisted since March 2. An Anadolu count indicates that Hezbollah has conducted 1,455 attacks since that date.

Hezbollah reported targeting the settlements of Kiryat Shmona three times and Metula once, along with troop gatherings near Yiftah barracks, the Al-Sammaqa site, and various settlements in northern Israel. Additionally, the group claimed to have struck ten military sites, including the Meron and Shraga bases, Liman barracks, artillery positions in Avivim and Yir'on, and infrastructure in Safed.

Air raid sirens were activated 19 times in extensive areas of northern Israel from early Saturday, attributed to Hezbollah's rocket and drone assaults, as reported by Israeli media outlets. This follows Israel's response of airstrikes and a ground offensive in southern Lebanon, which began after a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2.

Lebanese authorities have reported at least 1,422 fatalities and 3,294 injuries resulting from Israeli attacks since the escalation. This increase in hostilities coincides with a joint US-Israeli offensive on Iran, which has resulted in over 1,340 deaths since February 28. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting sites in Israel and US bases located in Gulf countries.
