Nizhnekamsk: The death toll from a fire at Nizhnekamskneftekhim, one of Russia's largest petrochemical plants, has risen to 11, with the search for one employee continuing, the company reported Monday.
According to Anadolu Agency, a total of 25 people have been hospitalized in Moscow, Kazan, and Nizhnekamsk, all showing 'positive progress' in their recovery.
The search operation at Nizhnekamskneftekhim, located in Tatarstan's Nizhnekamsk, is drawing to a close, it added.
'We offer our condolences to the families and friends,' the statement said, published on the Russian social media platform Max.
A fire broke out at Nizhnekamskneftekhim on Tuesday after a gas mixture ignited during work.
